He was famous as Tiwari. He is known for his negative roles in films. He started his career in early 1940s and acted in over 100 film in his career. Madhumati, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai, Mera Saya, Patthar Ke Sanam, Pratiggya are some of the movie he acted in. His son Bhushan Tiwari was also an actor. He died on March 9, 1980.
