G M Durrani
He was a radio artist and singer. He was spotted by Sohrab Modi and he gave him chance to sing in Said-e-Havas. His songs of '42s Sharda were very popular. He went to create his own identity as a playback singer. He also composed music for a few films in '40s. Who can forget his ' Neend hamari khaab tumhare..'.. Mohd. Rafi was said be heavily inspired by Durrani's singing style.
