Dixit
Manohar Dixit, popular as Dixit started his film career with 1930's Sparkling Youth. He had a bulky physique and he wonderfully carried it. He paired with the comedian Ghory as together they were known a Laurel & Hardy of India. They wroked in Do Badmash, Char Chakram, Bhool Bhulaiyan etc. His popular films are Pehle Aap, Aap Ki Seewa Mein, Pugree etc. He died of a heart attack on June 29, 1949.

V H Desai
Popular as Desai, he made his way into the films with late 1930s. He was a Law graduate but made his career as a comedian. He got into the act with his memorable role in Bhabhi in 1938. He went on acting in Bombay Talkies' Bandhan, Jhoola, Kangan etc. His popularity rose with Shehnai and Khidki released in 1947 and Andaaz and Shaheed in 1948. He died in 1949 to a heart attack.
