Karan Dewan
Karan Dewan worked in over seventy films from 1941 to 1979. He started as a journalist while still in college, editing a film-based magazine in Urdu.His brother was the film producer and director Jaimani Dewan. Rattan was his careers biggest hit. Dewan married actress-singer Manju, who had earlier worked in Aadmi.

Mukri
Muhammad Umar Mukri aka Mukri joined Bombay Talkies in 1944 as an assistant director with Jwar Bhata. He started acting with '45's Pratima. Mukri, with his toothless smile, diminutive stature and perfect humour timing amused the audiences in more than 200 films, in over six decades. His role sin Mother India, Anari, Sadhu aur Shaitan, Padosan and Bombay to Goa are still remembered.
