Hrishikesh Mukherjee
He is regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers of Indian cinema, known for his films, Anari, Satyakam, Chupke Chupke, Anand, Abhimaan, Gol Maal, Aashirwad, Bawarchi, and Namak Haraam. He started his career as a cameraman with New Theatres, Calcutta. Apart from direction, he was quite adept in film editing as well. Hrishi da was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award by the Government of India, in 1999.
