Dev Anand
Dev Anand debuted this year. He is considered as one of the greatest and most successful actors in the Indian film industry. He founded Navketan Films in 1949 with his elder brother Chetan Anand. He attained the image of the Romantic hero with the release of his films, Tere Ghar Ke Samne, Maya, Asli Naqli, Kala Paani, Teen Deviyan etc. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Bhushan in 2001 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2002.
